Blake Painter
F/V Tradition
In February 2008 Blake Painter became the owner of the F/V tradition and will be fishing for Pacific cod, halibut and black cod in Alaska. Blake is a second generation commercial fisherman, born and raised in the port town of Astoria. Growing up he was always actively involved with our boats and fisheries, gill netting, salmon trolling, albacore tuna fishing, longlining for black cod and halibut and dungeness crabbing. From an early age he was always eager to learn about any aspect of the industry. Among his certifications is that of Safety Instructor. Blake, I`d love to just kick back and tell you a life happening story on myself. I had a deckhand ob on the 1st and 2nd leading 6 pack boat in florida at one time making up to $3,500 to $4,000 every week and worked 7 days a week an avg. of 14-16 hrs. every day for 3-4 months straight and was canned after being physically hit and knocked to the deck by the capt./co-owner with tourist witnesses and all that got done was i lost everything in that whole area from others disbelief. but i will fish again somewhere, someday for some great vessel and captain. hope u mail me or call ma @ 740-354-2178.

well blake i just called accidently your parents and just wanted to get in touch with you and share my experience with you and not bothr your parents. but your mom asked what happened and i was telling her as she said you beeped in on a sat phone, and says well gotta go and thanks for calling. talking about making me feel stupid. anyways, maybe someday a great die-hard fisherman as yourself will blog back at me and just touch base with one another. sonny_carroll@yahoo.com

Uhhh, Brian - not to sound harsh but it doesn’t look like Blake is interested. These people don’t want to be bothered at home. You should have apologized & hung up as soon as you realized you had accidentally reached this man’s parents. Good grief! Ladies & germs, these men shared a part of their lives with us for our ENTERTAINMENT pleasure. That’s it - that’s all. Don’t try to make it out to be more than it is. Peace, out.

My mouth dropped opened when I read that Brian called Blakes parents. CREEPY! Leave him and his family alone. If he wants to talk to you he will. Until then, don’t be a stalker.

as i said it was an accident to have called his parents! as i went to hang up she asked what the call was in regards to and then she, as i said she asked me what happened. also if no one wants to be accidently called, then dont post your number after blakes name. but now that i see what kinda people are reading this and how they are interpeting these blogs, then the hell with this deadliest catch and its fan entirety.
