Jake and Josh – we were sorry and shocked to hear about the passing of your dad. Although we never knew him, we watched every series and came to know you all. We were very sad to hear of your sad news. He was a very caring father, a fantastic captain and friend – and the loss extends to the crew. My heartfelt sympathies to everyone – words can not express how we feel. There will always be a bright star in the sky to guide you home. May he rest in peace. Love Shona, Paddy and Josh xx

My heart is also broken at the passing of Captain Phil, he was my favorite. I loved his dry humor. To Josh and Jake, you could see it in his eyes when he spoke to you or about you, you both seemed to be his life. I looked forward to watching all of you together. I especially liked the look on his face when he said to the cameraman “now you know why lions eat their young”, he said it with such seriousness but yet with a mischievous glint in his eye. I really do believe that he will be watching over both of you. I will continue to watch the series because I think it is great but there will never be another Captain Phil! He is sadly missed. God bless and rest his soul.

I’m so, so sorry for your loss. I have seen the bond between you and your dad and I cry for you. I understand the loss because I too lost a parent at a very young age. Just know this…I admire what you do for a living; just so I can have the occasional crab legs. My daughter who adores crab legs, felt badly because of what she saw risked for the simple pleasure. We mourn your loss and enjoy the show. Hope and prayers go out to the both of you and the crew of Deadliest Catch. May the waters be calm for you.

i will miss him. he was my favorite skipper ,

There are no rough sea’s or crabs near Dallas, but the Skipper and his boy’s made it seem like we were there. Rest in peace Captain Phil, and god bless your children.

I’m so sorry to learn of you’re Dad’s death. A bright light has been extinguished. Hopefully there is a bright new star over the Bering Sea sky to watch over you both. I loved watching your family on the show. The torch has been passed to a new generation, you two. I hope to see you all continue on the CORNEILA MARIE as Captains next season. Jake and Josh,
My wife & I have watched you guys since the show first came out. We love you all. We feel as tho you guys are a part of us. We will miss your dad so terribly as we know you will. We have watched you guys grow from boys to men on the show and have no doubt how proud your dad is of you. You have your father in each of you, so dont ever doubt yourselves as far as handling his dreams. You can do it. your dad would want you to. Always remember, not only is your father with you, but your Heavenly Father is with you as well. Keep them both in your hearts, your dreams, and your lives. We love you guys and will be praying for you.
